Our new location for our marine project in Nosy Be is within the lovely village on Ambalahonko (in Malagasy this means fence of mangroves). Being in a village provides volunteers with cultural interaction with Malagasy people and the oppurtunity to learn some of the language. It also leaves plenty of spare time to play with kids from the village. Warning: if you take naps on the beach they may build sand castles on your feet!
